Using the Library

The interior of the Sedgwick Hall was renovated in the 1960′s to expand the library and to develop the professional-level Welles Gallery. The Welles Gallery has been designed with its own entrance, bathrooms, kitchenette and water fountain. While the Welles Gallery has its own private entrance, it is also accessible for patrons and visitors through the Sedgwick Reading Room.

The Welles Gallery is available to local artists for rent throughout the year on the following basis:

The Lenox Library welcomes artists (individuals or groups) interested in exhibiting for the entire season (June through mid-August) for a flat rate of $2,500.00. During the off season (September through May) the fee for exhibiting in the Welles Gallery is $800 a month.

All exhibits are listed on our calendar. We encourage you to check for available dates on our calendar and then to contact our administrative office at 413-637-2630 to reserve your date.

The Welles Gallery is located at 18 Main Street, Lenox, MA. To view this on a map, click here.
