Local author Ann Elizabeth Barnes will read from her book The Rev. Samuel Harrison, a bio of the abolitionist, activist and chaplain of the Massachusetts 54th, the first black regiment raised in the north to fight in the Civil War. The author will be available after the reading to sign and sell her book.
