Join us remotely to learn about one of Lenox’s daughters, Mary Cordelia Sears. Born in 1828, Mary traveled farther than many women of her time, and was immersed in indigenous culture. Due to her influence, the name of Lenox became known in the American west.

Sara Campbell is an author, historian, and frequent lecturer. Her interest in Mary was born when Mary appeared in Sara’s home town of Erving, MA in the 1870 census. Sara’s research led to the development of a prize-winning journal article on Mary’s family history. Posting some of her research on her blog attracted the attention of a descendant, and the story grew. We think you will be interested to “meet” Mary and learn about her life.
