On September 12 at 2:00, Lenox Library will launch its first annual “ScrabbleRouser” tournament, co-sponsored by Lenox Library Association and Time Warner Cable. A fundraiser for the library, teams of four will compete in three 30-minute games of the SCRABBLE ® Brand Crossword Game for prizes and bragging rights. Each team should bring in a minimum of $60 in pledges to participate, and the Grand Prize, a beautiful SCRABBLE ® game board, goes to the team with the most donations, so be sure to ask friends and family to help sponsor your team. The highest point winners for the three games will have their names inscribed on a plaque to be displayed for a year. The team with the best “library” word and the winner of our Word Mine game will also receive a prize, and “literate” refreshments will be served.
