From Creator Mike Makowsky and Executive Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, under their deal with Netflix, and Matt Ross, who will direct all episodes. Death by Lightning is a drama series that brings to life the epic and stranger-than-fiction true story of James Garfield, reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his greatest admirer Charles Guiteau — the man who would come to kill him. Featuring Matthew Macfadyen as ‘Charles Guiteau' and Michael Shannon  ‘James Garfield.’

Millard is currently working on her fifth book, which will be set in occupied Belgium and northern France in the early days of WWI.
