Lenox Library is excited to announce a new program for children to practice their reading!
Read to a Librarian is a program for children ages 4-10 years old. Each child will be paired with a Lenox Library staff member to practice reading together for up to three 30 minute sessions per month. Our goals are to help build children’s literacy skills and confidence and instill a lifelong love of reading. Parents/caregivers must be present during the entire program. Families will choose from predetermined time slots and sign up for their sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can choose to sign up for one, two, or three sessions for the month of October. Registration is required. Please stop by the Library youth desk to sign up.
Who will you be reading with?
Christy C: I am the Information Librarian at Lenox Library and I love reading picture books, especially books by Jan Brett!
Vanessa D: I am the Collections Librarian. I like dogs and magic!
Megan M: I am the Circulations Coordinator at Lenox Library and I like books about animals and nature, especially stories that are funny or rhyme.
Sara J: I am the Youth Assistant at Lenox Library and I love helping kids find their next book to read.
Vanessa J: I am the Youth Librarian at Lenox Library and I love reading silly stories!
Katy H: I am a Library Associate and a slow reader with dyslexia, I love reading and books with cool art!
Katie O: As both the Director of Lenox Library and a mom, I love helping others discover the joy of reading.
Stephanie S: I am a Library Associate and love reading with my kids and doing crafts!
