Celebrate the release of The Island Before No, the first picture book by awarding-winning author Christina Uss.

Enjoy a reading of her new book, hear about her adventures cycling across America, and create your dream bicycle!  Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of our friends at The Bookstore.

We’ll gather in Roche Reading Park, weather permitting.

Kids, parents, and bicycles of all ages welcome!

About the author: Christina Uss is the author of the award-winning middle-grade novels The Adventures of a Girl Called Bicycle, The Colossus of Roads, Erik vs. Everything, and A Few Bicycles More, for readers aged 8-12, and the picture book The Island Before No (available July 16, 2024).

Christina is a bike rider: she’s ridden her bicycle across the United States twice, both widthwise and lengthwise, and worked as an adventure tour guide in more than a dozen states.

She’s also a bike writer: many of her novels center around bike adventures great and small.

She lives in Massachusetts with her family and her extensive collections of bicycles, books, and library cards.
