It is a well known (well, somewhat well known) story that the mustard-colored commercial building on the corner of Housatonic and Church Streets was moved from its original location next to the Town Hall. As it turns out, there are more than a dozen (and counting) stories of buildings being lifted from their foundations and moved to a different location – sometimes twice!
